Career Options in Real Estate
There are four basic career options in real estate including administration, office management, sales, and managing brokers. Let’s have a look at the important role each one plays in our day-to-day work.
At the entry level, our administrative staff look after the daily tasks that keep our offices running smoothly. They are customer service specialists with training in clerical tasks, such as processing listings and digital marketing. More than one administrator has obtained her license after learning the business from the inside out!
An office manager has a variety of responsibilities, such as planning, budgeting, and supervising operations. A manager’s job is to make your job as a salesperson easier and more efficient. She is there to assist with technical and regulatory issues. You might consider her your virtual assistant because she probably has the answers you’re looking for.
As a real estate salesperson, you provide outstanding service to our clients; helping people to buy or sell their homes. Your role is critical to the success of our company. We wouldn’t exist without our team of friendly and educated sales people.
A managing broker is responsible for supervising the activities of their particular office. You are required to be licensed as a sales agent for two years before applying for special training to become a broker. Brokers are required to have a deep understanding of business planning, financial accounting, and human resources. If you feel qualified to manage a team, we encourage you to contact us for more information. We have opportunities for managing brokers and franchise ownership in select communities on Vancouver Island.
